Dungeon Generation

Procedural Dungeon Generation

One of the main features of the game is the procedural dungeon generation feature which randomly generates different floors all with various room sizes, hallways, and environmental tiles. Every fifth floor is arranged with a different theme, therefore each floor is generated with their corresponding environmental tile. The procedural dungeon generation feature allows for replaybility as each floor is never the same.

Diverse Loot and Item Spawning

The game is equipped with a variety of different loot that spawns either as monster drops or through the randomly placed treassure chests. Different loot has different drop probabilities all depending on the rarity of item.

Intuitive Inventory System

Inventory system allows for the player to store and manage their items, weapons, armor, etc. Through the inventory, the player has the ability to equip and unequip the weapon of their choice. They will also be able to drop unnecessary weapons/items.

Shop

Shop System

Each floor of the dungeon has a probability of spawning a shop/merchant that sells a variety of useful items such as helmets, swords, shurikens, and potions. At a certain price the player may purchase these items/weapons if they desire. Don't have enough coins? The shop also allows the player to sell their items and receive proper compensation.

Companion System

On the first floor, the player is able to meet Rubio, a friendly companion that can help the player navigate through this monster infested dungeon. Talking to Rubio will prompt the companion to begin following the player. Once the companion follows the player, the companion will be able to attack nearby enemies and aid the player in clearing the dungeon.

Boss Fight

Fun and Engaging Boss Fight

Once the player reaches the 15th floor, the player will encounter the last obstacle: the King Slime! The King Slime is an enlarged slime monster with significantly more health than your ordinary slime. Not only does it have more health, but once it reaches a certain health threshold, it will send out its minion slimes to deter the player from clearing the dungeon. Once the the boss is defeated, the player would have successfully cleared the dungeon and a scoreboard will appear, showcasing all the treasures that the player has collected and displaying the total score.
